I just paid $80 for Geometricbox.com to have my domain switched over from wix.com to wordpress.com, and they also asked me for my personal information for the hosting. They also told me that once I give them my info(which I’m not), they will switch everything over to wordpress.org. I’m a bit confused with everything right now.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. I’m trying to upgrade my account so that I can use the domain that I’ve purchased with 1&1. When I get ready to pay for my upgrade, it says that I’m about to pay for the domain that WordPress came up with instead of using my own domain.
