Hot linking?
-
wordpress.com widget – I keep having a new tab open in Safari, with “No Hot Linking, please.” No idea what this refers to. Any advice?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, do you have any image(s) hotlinked from another site?
Hotlinking is considered theft by some, so methods are employed to prevent it from some servers.

No. The only photos I put up are my own, and occasionally book covers when I review books.
-
I should add, I always get permissions for the book covers before reproducing. Cannot understand what this is about.

It must be one of my two most recents. No problems before them. Both have book covers, but permissions for both, so cannot see why they should lead to this issue.

No, it’s when I log on, I get an extra tab on my computer (in Safari), and in an almost completely blank screen there is this message about hot linking. It seems to be when I’m in the dashboard and looking at the home page or the two more recent posts. It could be because of a glitch with Safari because I use the “Top Sites” button. That brings up a series of thumbnails for the most commonly accessed websites. Deeply irritating, whatever the cause.

That’s probably what it is, then. Is there no way to whitelist your blog or WordPress.com on that?
