how a blog post appears
-
right now, on my site, my blog posts appear on my homepage as the whole post. I would like for my blog posts to show just part of the post, so that a reader has to click on the post t read the whole thing. Is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can achieve this by inserting the “More” tag into posts. For full details, please see:

I hope this helps :)

Hi there,
I would like to add one point here. You can set excerpt to all the post by following steps:
– Go to My Sites > Themes > Customize > Content Options
– Select Post Excerpt radio button under Blog Display
– Click Save&Publish
This will display only a part of all posts. The part length will be randomly selected for you. However, few themes don’t have this feature of displaying post excerpts. In this case you’ll have to add More tag individually to all posts as suggested by @garysixtyeight
Also, you get to decide how much part of the post you wish to display by adding More tag.Hope this helps!

The theme currently being used on the site in the OP, Plane, does not support the Content Options.
