how add .txt-files?

  Hi folks,

  I want to know how can I add .txt-files?
  As I can see, I can add some .doc-files or .odt-files, for example.

  Is it possible to add .txt or maybe another *simple* text format?

  It’s from 2008 but the solution might still work.

  Probably your best bet would be to use PDF, there are several free or make a small donation programs that will output PDF files, many word-processing programs will also output PDF files directly.

  I don’t see another solution except as the link above suggests hosting the files on a 3rd party file site (more work IMO).

  You could ask WordPress.com if they could change the allowed file types to add plain text files, or if there is a reason they choose not to support .txt files.
