How am I receiving likes on my page but visitors are not registering on my stats?

  24th June I received 1 like and 25th of June the same happened again and yet my stats for these days show that I had no visitors. How can people possibly like my articles without having viewed them?

  People can view and “like” your articles in the WordPress.com Reader without visiting your site.
