How and where to post the Etsy mini code?

I’d like to add the Etsy mini code to my site but I can’t seem to find where I do that. I have read kind of old statements online that WordPress doesn’t allow those codes. Any one know if that has changed?

The code you can get from Etsy isn’t directly allowed in wordpress.com blogs. But you can convert it into a different code > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/03/06/etsy-widget/

If you read all the way to the bottom of that thread’s comments, you’ll see that unfortunately, Etsy dropped support for the flash code which could be converted to the gigya code. What many of us have done is simply take a screenshot of our Etsy shop or favorites and added it to our sidebars in a text widget.
