How are authors ordered in Author Widget

Hi – I’m starting a new blog and getting my authors invited and displayed on our blog page. I’m wondering how the order of the authors in the list is determined and if it can be modified? It appears to be ordering them by the order in which they were added as authors. Will it change once they start posting?

Hi there,
It is ordered in the order in which they were added. Unfortunately, the widget does not offer a way to reorder them manually. You could try deleting all the authors and then putting them back in in the order you want them to appear, but please note that the username that was used to set up the blog will always appear at the top.
Your other possibility is to use a text widget and create your own authors widget using HTML.
