How are deleted pages able to 'like' my posts?

Hi. I am still fairly new to this and I have searched the forums for an answer. I apologize, though, if I may have missed it, but I just posted a blog and about 2-3 minutes later someone ‘liked’ it. I was curious so I clicked on their picture and it took me to their WordPress page, which has been deleted. I then decided to check other likes from previous posts, and almost everyone who ‘liked’ it has their page deleted. How is this possible? Am I missing something?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. On WordPress.com you have a username account. In that account you can have multiple blogs (websites or “pages” as you refer to them above). However, you can only have one blog connected to your username at a time, or you can even choose not to have your username link to any blog at all..

What is happening here is that people who are logged in to their accounts are liking your posts, but their usernames are linking to deleted blogs.

It is quite strange that almost all your likes are from people who don’t have active blogs linked to their usernames, but it’s completely possible.
