Your skills are HORRIBLE, makes me want to VOMIT who the hell KNITS anymore and whats up with that BABY, and NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND THINGS YOU CREATE….
Just kidding of course, great blog and I have no criticism of you blog and writing except that I find the words annoyingly small, and since you knit why not brighten the blog up, instead of the black background.

actually I take the small words thing back, I think my blogs font size is as small as yours…maybe its that black background, or the fact that I been studying GENETICS and ORGANIC CHEMISTRY all day and my eyes are about to fall out my head!!!

Yes, linking blog to you name is important. More then half the people who are on my blogroll is because they linked their name to their blog…and then, I thought their blog was cool.
I also recommend feedburner particularly get the e-mail newsletter thing setup and twitter, set up a twitter feed…and they will come :-)
Promote on digg.com so people can digg and share your post. Go to other knitting blogs or sites and leave a link without abusing. And say no to the black background.
And, I really don’t think people care about an “about me page”, I think they are overrated… -
Uhmm…my ‘about’ page is one of those top viewed and most commented also beside ‘beingism’ posts. It’s one of many crucial elements to introduce your topic of blogging, methinks.
