How are people finding my site?

Hi,
I just made a wordpress account and a blog, but I haven’t done anything to publicize yet. So I was surprised to find that two internet users have already started to follow the site. My first thought was that they were likely spambots and that I should be careful… but the profiles look real. Does wordpress publicize new sites? If not, how/why would people have found my site already?

Hi!
When you add tags to your posts, your posts will appear in the Topics pages , where visitors can see them in Reader when a post is published.
For example, from your first post, I see that you’ve added the “online education” tag:
http://wordpress.com/#!/read/topic/online-education/
