How Are Search Returns Pulled?

    I believe search results are both from the body and the title and are given equal weight. It’s the date of the post that comes into place that does ranking and newer posts are listed first. I’ve not seen any difference between the WP and WPMu versions.

    So you are saying if the word “Claes” appears once in a post title of one article but not in the body; and 50 times in the post body of a second article but not in the title; each is given equal weight in the search return with the earliest post listed first?

    I think I remember once I ran a search and the name wasn’t in the title or in the body at all but it was in the filenames of the images I posted.

    Now that’s an interesting search return! I’ve had a couple of search returns that had nothing to do with the keywords I was using. There must be some method to this madness!
