How best to add my website address to the Twenty Ten theme?
-
I am not seeing a widget that would link to my website? Is there a better way than a widget?
Thank you!

Hi Jeff,
Are you looking to add a link to your website in your site’s navigation bar? Or would you like to add a link via the Sidebar?
To add a link to your site to your blog’s menu, you can do so by going to your Dashboard > Appearance > Menus and creating a custom menu with a custom link to your site:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-linksIf you would like to add a link to your site via your Sidebar, you can use either the Text Widget or the Links Widget. Instructions on how to set these up are available here:

Thanks! I added the link to my website on a custom menu. Awesome. Now I am wondering if there’s a widget with an image in the sidebar and the image would click through to my website. I would show the opening page of my website or my logo. I tried the Image widget but I couldn’t get the link to be live. Thoughts?

Hi there,
You should be able to link to your website while using the Image Widget by inputting your site URL in the “Link URL” text box. Can you let me know if this works for you?

Thanks again for responding. It’s the image I’m having a problem with. I’m not sure what to put in for the image url. I tried my web address wondering of it would show the opening page but it doesn’t. There’s a question mark which DOES link to my website. I’d like to have my logo or opening page of website. I even tried putting my logo on my ftp and putting the link to that as the url but it didn’t work. What do I put for the image url?

The image URL should be a link to your image. You can either upload an image to WordPress via your Dashboard > Media Library > Add New or use an existing image from your website.
If you upload to WordPress, once the file has processed, click on “Edit Image” and copy the source URL. This is the URL you will want to paste into the Image Widget.
However, if you’re looking to add your logo to your Image Widget, I was able to pull this image URL via your site:
http://www.jeffreyshaw.com/wp-content/themes/jeffshaw2wp/images/main-menu_08.jpgIf that’s the image you want to use, simply copy and paste the URL above. I hope this helps!
