How can a follower receive an email when I reply to their comment on a post?

    When someone leaves a comment on my posts I would like them to know when I reply. Followers have left comments, but are unaware of my replies unless they go back to the post and look for it. I’d like them to know by default if possible.

    They can, but they need to choose to subscribe to comments on that particular post. There is no way for the blogger/author to require that they be notified about the post.

    On the one hand, it makes total sense for them to be notified about your reply. But in reality, we have found that people prefer to make that decision themselves (to receive a notification).
