How can a keystroke alter the appearance of my blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

Yesterday evening I was editing a post when with a keystroke I altered the whole appearance of my blog, making everything much smaller. I do not know the keystroke I made because I mis-hit the keyboard (ctrl plus another key: at the time I was cutting and pasting with keystrokes). It only affects my blog pages, not the Reader or any other part of WordPress. I’ve tried everything in the Dashboard and nothing puts my blog back as it was. I do not see anything in any forum or topic heading that speaks to my issue. Even the top bar (the black one with the WordPress logo on it) is diminished.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This isn’t to do with WordPress, but to do with the browser you are using, you’ve just zoomed in on the page. You probably pressed CTRL and then scrolled with a scroll wheel, or maybe you pressed CTRL and the plus button. To undo this, just press CTRL and the number zero (at the same time, so hold CTRL and then press ‘0’). That should fix it!

Thank you, thank you so much, Daniel. I’ve spent hours on this! Googled ‘hot keys’ etc, read support forum posts until my eyes hurt, and, as I say, tried just about everything in the Dashboard menus. And it was as simple as that! I feel a little foolish!
I am not very tech savvy (needless to say).
    So, again, thanks
