how can a new contributor get access to the classic editor?
-
I have a new contributor on my blog who needs access to all the Categories I have already created. He cannot do this in the new editor, and I would like either:
1) Tell me how he can see all my Categories in the new editor, so he can easily pick among them, or
2) Tell me how he can access the classic editor, which I prefer.
As you may have gathered, I think the new editor, with everything hidden, is a PITA, and I don’t use it.
Thanks, though.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and for viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/
On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
To create posts in the classic editor for you that link is http://theradiocrytic.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpIf you have cookies enabled on your browser your preference will be saved unless or until your clear your cookies, and it will take you to the classic editor automatically every time you create a new post via the drop-down menu in the black admin bar or edit a post via the edit button on the blog itself.

The first page you link to contains links that all include “wp-admin.” Would my new contributor, who does not have admin privileges on my blog, be able to use those? (Indeed, I cannot access the second link you posted, since I do not have admin privileges on that site.)
It also contains this link:
https://tpenguinltg.github.io/wpcom-edit-post-redirect.user.js/index.htmlThese look like a little more trouble, but possibly do-able. Do you know if those would those work for my contributor?
Thanks,
BW -
My contributor can now see all the categories and can easily check off the appropriate ones. First, thank you to whoever made this change! Second, I hope this continues when he becomes an author. :)
