How can all readers press on like button

How do I make it so all readers can press on the like button? Some of my readers have told me that they cannot place a like on my posts. The posts asks them to log in their e-mail and password. Can this be done without this? Can readers without blogs or other websites press on the like button?
    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Carol – The WordPress.com like button can only be used by logged-in WordPress.com users, but anyone can use your Facebook like button and the other social sharing buttons.

    Hi-

Thanks for this information. Does WordPress intend to allow other users to use the like button in the future? It would really be a great addition.

  • Hi Carol – I’m not sure, but I’ll pass your suggestion along. I think the difficulty would be that if the user isn’t logged in, there’s no information to display with the like – it would just be an anonymous like.

I think I misunderstood. I understood that the only ones able to place a like were those who already had blogs with WordPress.
What does the person have to do to log in?

  • Hi Carol – They don’t have to have a blog, just a WordPress.com account. If they don’t already have one, they can go here and create a username-only account:
