How can an unauthorized advertsing video be removed from a blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

When I am signed into the blog, the video is NOT visible in the preview window, but when I am signed out of the blog it is visible? I have no idea where this ‘adverstisment’ came from? Help! I want to remove it, but I have no idea where to find it when I’m signed in.
    Thanks

The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade. WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all.

Note that this is the support forum for those who have free hosted WordPress.com blogs. That’s the context my answer was provided in. You wordpress.com username is linked to some site that’s not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and appears to be Powered by Microsoft Office Live Small Business. If that’s the site with the advertising video then we cannot help your here with it at all.
