How can blog visitors obtain a print copy of a blog post?

Visitors would like to print a copy of the post to read later, off line.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • You can actually add a handy “print” button along with your other “sharing” buttons at the bottom of your posts. Instructions here:

    Add Social Share Buttons

Take a look through that page and let me know if you have any further questions. I’ll be happy to help.

    rootjosh,

thank you for the advice. I’ve added the print button per the instructions and it works. I’ll add the email button as well.

    Hi Rootjosh,

You helped me about a month ago to add a print button to a client’s WordPress posts. I did that and it worked, except that it doesn’t work on M/S IE. At first I thought it was a problem with my copy of IE. My primary browser is Chrome and IE, from time to time, acts quirky for me. But my client, who uses IE exclusively, experienced the same problem, namely the print window opens up but nothing happens after the print button is clicked on. I’ve tried it on Firefox and it works fine. I haven’t tried it on an Apple machine.

Any tips or suggestions would be very welcome.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for flying with WordPress.com

  • Hmmm, I’m doubtful that is anything related to our systems. We control how the page appears. But we con’t have anything to do with what the browser or computer/printer does after the print button is pressed.
