How can friends accept my invitation and become visitors?

  Only one of my friends was able to “accept” an invitation, and she doesn’t show up on my list of users. How can they accept my invitation? Secondly, I tried to resend my first post. I get an error message. Could that be that I have edited the page since it was published?

  I get an error message.

  I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please post the error message here. Please also provide the username of that person, if they have one or their email address. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email address so only Staff can see it. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  Can you let me know what happens when the other users click on the link in the email they’re receiving? They should be prompted to create a WordPress.com account.

  The user that accepted is listed currently in a “Viewer” user role. They will not be listed under your site users here:

  Secondly, I tried to resend my first post. I get an error message. Could that be that I have edited the page since it was published?

  Could you let me know the contents of the error message? Also, when you say “resend,” did you try to delete and then repost the post or did you simply change it to draft and then back to published?

  The friend who tried to create an account received a message that the password was incorrect. When she sent a message to get the password or a new one, she was told there was no such user. I looked at her screen, and there didn’t appear to be a place to establish an account.

  Another friend tried to create an account and was prompted to choose whether she wanted to create a blog or a website. She doesn’t want to do either, she just wants to follow my blog.

  Can you have both users signup for an account at the following link?

  https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1

  This shouldn’t create a blog for them, just a user account. Then, when they’re logged into their account, can you ask them to click the confirmation link again? So the steps would be as follows:

  1. Create an account at the link above using the same email

  2. Login to WordPress.com account created in Step #1

  3. Click confirmation link in email
