how can i acquire the epp code for my domain so i can transfer it?

  I want to transfer my domain to somewhere else instead of renewing it under wordpress. We originally purchased the domain through wordpress but we never really used wordpress at all. Now that it expired, I would like the EPP code so i can transfer it elsewhere.

  How can I acquire this code? Is this possible?

  You can obtain your authorization (EPP) code and transfer your domain following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar
