How can I activate my blog using the website name in my account?

Under my account I see my website name which is the same as my username. However, when I try to create a website with this exact address under Create Website, I get the notification that this site already exists and has been deleted. But it belongs to me! How can I fix this?

Ok… I deleted another site which was my original username. Does that mean any subsequent username and website combo will be created then automatically deleted? Because that’s what seems to have happened. Very confusing and frustrating…

No.
You deleted that site from the dashboard Tools page of that site. That’s why that site is gone and no others are gone.

Hi there!
Sorry about that. There’s a slight glitch with our username change tool. Since the blog that matched your previous username had been deleted, the new username-matching blog was immediately deleted as well. I was able to recover it for you though, so you should be all set.

I have flagged this for the staff – they should be able to tell you when you deleted the site
note I was not judgmental – but normally deletes are forever and I did flag this thread for the staff for you to get additional help – in this case there seemed to be a software issue that only the staff could help with – – you are the one that is off base and rude
