How can I add a 'Contact me' page/section so readers can email me?

How do I add a contact page to my blog?
Blog url: http://bernadetterowley.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can easily create a new page at ‘Pages’ -> ‘Add New’ in your blog’s dashboard. Then you can add a Contact Form that allows visitors to contact you directly. You can find more information about the Contact Form in this guide.

The above directions did not work. All I got was a new page with no form and a message to ‘Leave a comment’ like a normal blog. I followed every step with no luck so still no contact form on my blog.

Did you follow the steps mentioned here? Please let me know at which step you get stuck.

That’s your blog, but what is the URL of the post or page that you’re trying to add the contact form to?
-
Ok, so I followed your instructions and see the link below – that is what I got. Also, I want Contact Me to be the last page across the top but it has slotted into thrid spot.
-
I’ve just added a Contact Form for you on the ‘Contact Me’ page. Let me know if this works out for you.
-
I just checked it out and I don’t think this is what I want exactly. It seems to be prefilled- shouldn’t it be blank? I don’t want my email displayed.
-
What I want is a contact page so that readers can enter THEIR details and these will be emailed to me
-
Oh, I see- I could only see it filled in because I was logged in as editor. I’ll get someone else to check that it works. How can I get rid of the rest of the clutter on that page ie Share this and Like this and Leave a reply? I really only need the contact boxes and submit
-
That’s correct, it’s pre-filled once you are logged in. Your visitors will see empty fields.
You can disable the comment box and sharing button in your post editor. Just uncheck the boxes at the bottom of the page.
