How can I add a paypal button to my blog

  I have tried to add a paypal button and I’ve looked online for instructions but I still can’t work it out. I went to themes->add widget->sidebar->text. In the text box I posted the code from paypal (copied and pasted from the email section of the code as per the instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/2/ (step 2)). However when I pasted the button code into the text section it didn’t show as a button it showed as code text. What step am I missing out? Why is it not appearing as a button?

  I posted the code from paypal (copied and pasted from the email section of the code as per the instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/2/ (step 2)).

  What you copy should be a link and not code, look for the email option and that should give you the link you need.
