How can I add a “send by email” button in my post?

Hello fellow members of this list,
I would like to add a button at the bottom of the post so the reader can send the post to another people by e-mail.
Is there a procedure to do this?

Thanks for your response… but it was not useful for me.
As far as I’ve read is not possible to add an “e-mail” button in wordpress.com, because it may be a source for spammers.
Tellafriend ask me for registering, and I avoid any service that asks for my registering.
I am still searching… -

I tried addthis yesterday, it seems to be useful and its website is fairly friendly. I put the button in my blog just follwing the directions.
But, for some reason, the button doesn’t display the “email” icon, as it does with the other services.

I’ve been curious about adding such a function myself. Am I correct in assuming that it would allow a reader to send a link for the post to the email address(es) of his/her choice?
I looked on the support page for AddThis (http://support.wordpress.com/addthis/), but got confused by the wording at the end. It says that you should paste the code into the HTML editor or into a text box for the sidebar. It then follows with a note saying that you cannot automatically add the button to all posts, and must do so for each post individually.
What then is the point of placing the code into a text box? What would clicking the button do if it’s in the sidebar instead of within the body of the post?

When you are asked to add the add this button it will ask for the link you’d like to use. If you add the button to the sidebar, it usually means you want to link it to your blogs front page so people can bookmark your whole blog instead of an individual blog post.
putting it on individual blog posts means that it will link to that individual blog post.

And according to the Dev of GetSocial, the next version will include the ability to send by email.
