How can I add About the Author section on my blog posts?

  My blog has about 8 different authors and it is important to us to have an about the author section at the bottom of our posts. I’ve heard that there are plugins that can make this happen but there is not a plugins tab on my wordpress.com dashboard. I see author related widgets I can add on the sidebar but I’d like to have it in the actual post. Any ideas?

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  FTP access, plugins and third party themes are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. if you require plugins, a shopping cart, etc. then you must hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. http://wordpress.org/

  In reference to those themes that do display author bylines (some do not) there must be at least two authors who have both published a post in the blog for the author bylines to display.

  Date for the author profiles is pulled from here > Users > My Profile > About me and displayed on the gravatar profile page, as well as, on the very few themes we have that do display author profiles. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

  Workaround for themes without an author profile
  One can create an author profile in a draft post and paste it on the bottom of every post they publish.
