How can I add both embed video code and text into my post & have both work?

  If I post video embed code in the HTML viewer nothing shows up in the “normal” view. Also, I cannot add text in my page. If I add the video code and then add text then the video code disappears after saving. I see others doing exactly what I am trying to do with the same embed code but not sure why I am having the problem.

  What kind of video are you trying to embed?

  We only allow embeds and flash from a few sources.

  To show videos on you site, please try one of these:

  1) Use one of our video embed shortcodes:

  2) For videos from other sites, use Vodpod:
  http://support.wordpress.com/videos/vodpod/

  3) Add the VideoPress upgrade to easily upload and share high quality videos.
