How can I add buttons to my custom header?

I have a static front custom header. At the bottom of the header image, I would like three buttons that would link to three pages. How do I do that? I don’t write code, so you may have to dumb things down for me. Thank you!!!

Hi there, I looked at the CSS and HTML on the Eighties theme you are using, and unfortunately there isn’t going to be a way to do this.
The only way I can think of doing this would be to set your main page as the Posts (blog) page and create a sticky post with the header image you are using as the featured image on that post. The buttons could then be added to that sticky post content area and we could hide the title and entry meta data and style things with CSS.

So would the sticky post be static? I chose the Eighties theme because I liked the parallax scrolling. Is there a better theme to use? My ultimate goal is to have this site serve as a website more than a blog site. Thanks!!

I just read the thread with Chookstar. I think I am trying to do the same thing, but I am as confused as they were, even after reading the thread. I hate that I need so much hand-holding, but I am completely new to this. I think you said I can’t do what I want to do, which is to create three buttons (Events Shows Words) that would sit on my header image so that when clicked, will take a visitor to the corresponding static pages I’ve created.
Your suggestion was to create a sticky note, which I’m not opposed to, except I still can’t figure out how to create the buttons.

So, following your instructions to Chookstar, I managed to get the 3 pages in as footers, which, while I know was not my original stated intent, actually works great for my purposes. But I need help now with moving the blog info that’s currently above Events. I would also like to move the social media buttons and the comments from the About Us. How do I do that?

Are you wanting to remove the about us content from your main page, or move it somewhere else?
Where do you want to move the comments section and social media sharing stuff?
