How can I add falling snow to my blog?
-
Hello,
I would like to add falling snow to my blog. But I didn’t find how.
After hours of research, I’va found this:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nksnow/ (inspired by : http://dropmix.xs4all.nl/rick/Xsnow/)
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/let-it-snow/
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/falling-snow/
But I don’t know how to do it… I’m only using wordpress plateform on my own site : http://www.le-buzz-immobilier.com
Thanks fot your help, Phoenix

Actually, they had falling snow as an option last year at Christmas. It looked kinda cool, but it apparently slowed load times right down.

Ah, but did you know that the first Advent Sunday this year is November 30? Advent Sunday is a big thing in Germany.

Here’s how:
- Print out a screenshot of your blog.
- Place the printed image outside while it’s snowing.
- Enjoy!
That should do it.
-
One thing to remember with the snow, is the longer someone is viewing a page on your site, the more memory and resources the snow requires and eventually the visitors browser will become unresponsive and they will have to force quit it. At least that was what happened last year.

It be snowing on my blog till 1/4/09. If it isn’t activated on yours, then go to Appearance—Extras.

I’m wondering if that’ll make some of the longer posts/comment threads on my blog entirely unreadable. I got complaints last year and had to shut it off because it was killing my own computer.

@ Raincoaster Nobody reads what I write, anyhow. They just come around to flirt with me. :P

I can already hear my computer overclocking while viewing the COM pages, so the appearance of snowfall on my blog is wishful thinking for me.
