You paste it in a text widget. Make sure you’ve got a plain html version, NOT javascript.

I was hoping that wordpress would eventually allow adsense like blogger, yes I am aware that google owns blogger) BUT I wish wordpress would let us do it, as it is much better, I mean I bought a domain from here so I am contributing some what.

You can always get independent hosting and set up a blog using wordpress software; then you’re free from paid upgrades and the embed and theme restrictions as well. As a three-year blogger at WP.com I can’t say I can forsee a time when they’d do that for their free hosting. They do allow it for their VIP blogs, which cost several hundred dollars a month. And my best estimate of what they make running Adsense on our blogs is an average of $120 a year, which is a wild guess but still a large enough number to make independent hosting cost-effective or at least break-even.

That’s correct, and that’s why, as a blogger who earns a living off advertising, I tell people to give up on Adsense. Are you willing to pay WordPress.com $120 a year? If so, why not pay someone else and lift all those restrictions?
