How can I add html codes to my blog?
-
Hi everyone!
Actually I do not know if this is the right forum for this problem but I will give it a try.
I would like to add some html codes to my blog. Does anyone know how it works? The webmaster tools from Google and Bing Webmaster.
Many thanks in advance!

The webmaster tools from Google and Bing Webmaster.
See here for the only instructions that work for WordPress.COM blog verification http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
There are code restrictions on our blogs and you can read about them here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
For the allowed HTML tags see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tags -
Familiarize yourself with the Support documents and particularly the search function. Always start with a search there. If you don’t find the answer, then ask the forum.

@mooffduty, did the links that @timethief gave get you going on verifying your site with Google and Bing?

Thank you all for your answers!
Unfortunately it does not work, I have tried to copy and paste the codes given by Google and Bing but nothing happened.
This is the Google code:
google-site-verification: googleb8864a40e7d8ba86.htmland this is Bing:
<?xml version=”1.0″?>-<users>
<user>7FFD64E5271D939AB0A17A3FAAD91174</user>
</users>
Once again thank you very much!

@mooffduty, the support document that @timethief referenced, http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/ , is the way to do it here at WordPress.com. The google code you reference above is actually the HTML file, which can’t be used here. You have to get the HTML code from Google, which would look something like this:
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="rc2RXSkjV5rz9P2s2hTwdDsnwTu4tD-gmruKUrqBGjs" />
See this section of the support page for step by step instructions.Once in a while, it appears as if Google gets backed up or something and you may have to try it a couple of times. If it doesn’t work first time, give it a few hours and try again.
On Bing, again, the code you reference above is not the meta code. The code you need from Bing would look like this:
<meta name='msvalidate.01' content='12C1203B5086AECE94EB3A3D9830B2E'>
Here are the step by step instructions for Bing.
