How can I add images in next to text considering the new update?

Post creating has been updated and you can’t put different images next to different text. You can only insert into a gallery which stays in one spot with all the images you want in the post. I want different images in different places throughout the post. How do I do that now?

I’m sorry that you are having trouble with the recent editor changes. We’re working on improving the experience and at the top of that list is the “add media” functionality.
In the meantime, you can always log into your WordPress.com site’s Dashboard and click on Posts–> Add New to make posts.

I can create a new post :) I’ve started the draft and I’ll just be waiting on the ability to add photos to different spots on the post.
Do you know an approximate time frame for the “add media” functionality to be corrected?

I know that they are working on it as quickly as they can. But I can’t give any sort of a hard deadline.
