  I love the themes already created, but how can I add my own background?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Unless I’m mistaken, the only way to do it is with the CSS upgrade (which is not recommended you buy if you don’t have CSS experience).

  There are themes have the custom background feature. See here > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/ and type “custom background” into the search filter. The themes will appear below the search box and if you click them it’s a live demo site.

  BTW the theme you have on the blog linked to your username is Rusty Grunge and it does have that feature. > Appearance > Background
