How can I add my Twitter Timeline to my blog permanently?

I am trying to add my twitter timeline. I clicked on the twitter widget configuration, received the long text in twitter, which I copied into the wordpress box 3 times. I selected save each time only to have the text disappear. Why is not saving the connection?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
I’m tagging this thread for Staff as there have been so many issues with this widget being reported I assume they may be working on it. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Hi there,

When you create the Twitter widget, you’ll only need to copy the widget ID from Twitter. We have instructions about how to do that on this page: Twitter Timeline Widget

If that doesn’t work for you, can you please reply with the exact text you are trying to paste into the widget? I’d be happy to take a look for you.

WordPress.com Twitter Timeline Widget for Dummies (no disrespect intended!):

Step 1: First create your timeline widget on twitter under Settings>Widgets. Make sure to save it.

Step 2: After creating the widget on twitter, copy the long string of numbers from your browser’s address bar. That’s your widget ID.

Step 3: In your WordPress.com widget dashboard, drag and drop the Twitter Timeline Widget to the sidebar where you want it to appear. Open the widget.

Step 4: On the Widget ID line, paste the long string of numbers you copied. All the other settings are frosting. Save your widget.

Step 5: Wait for twitter to catch up. It’s not instantaneous the first time.
