How can I add pages to my menu?

Some of my pages are not appearing in my menu and some are. How can I include all of them? On the Appearance>Menu page under Pages it says ‘No items’. Can you help me please?

Yes – the problem apparently was because I had scheduled the pages to publish in the future, since I didn’t want them to appear before I’d fixed the site properly. Now I realise you can publish – in fact have to for it to work – but keep it private until it’s ready. Thanks for responding!
