How can I add/revise published posts and galleries without WP notifying follower

Is there a way for me to revise a published post or gallery without WordPress sending out a notification that there is an update available? My blog is new and I have limited the number of invited followers until I have more content. I don’t want to notify the few followers I have every time I add a photo or edit my content. Do I need to change the visibility option to private while I tweak things? Thanks for your help.

If you are asking about your email followers, they only receive and email when you make a NEW Post, they do not get a notice each time you edit a Post. So edit away without worry. If you want to double check me, just subscribe to your own blog by email.
Sorry don’t remember if the RSS feed is updated or not with an edit, but the RSS feed is only looked at with a reader, so would not really metter.

Thank you. I think I am an email follower. Everytime I’ve edited a post, I’ve gotten email notifications. I wasn’t sure if they were just coming to me or going to everyone. I should probably update my settings so it doesn’t notify me everytime I make a change. Thanks again.

There is a setting to email you when ever a change is made, that is not the same as an email subscription.
I do use the email me when a change is made for a blog that I Admin for some friends, they are not real WordPress.COM savvy, so I do that as defense against them messing things up or forgetting to do something like put in a More Tag so the Post is not 12 pages long on the front page of their blog.

Thank you! I am not WP savvy yet, but I hope to be soon. Creating a good and usable blog is like having a second job! I want my blog to be usable and easy to navigate in addition to looking good.
I modified my settings so I won’t get an email every time I make a change. I am also an email subscriber, but understand now that those are two different things. I appreciate your help. Your blog looks great, btw!
