How can I adjust my custom background image?

  How do I adjust my background image to fit the display? I am using the Opti Demo, wordpress says my image is 5782×1817, but it is only showing up in my background as a small box with a lot of space around it. I don’t understand why this is happening and the help tools are not helpful since the formatting for wordpress on my computer is not showing what ‘help’ is showing in its image instructions.

  Hi there – I don’t see any background image uploaded now. Can you please upload it again so I can take a look? It can be tricky to get a background image to display just right, if you want it to cover your entire background and you don’t want it to tile. You have to play with it until you find the right size.

  I see now what part of my problem is – I want the image as my header not necessarily as my background. I developed my own logo for the site and I would like to use it to replace the existing header. Under the header option in customize it suggest that this can be done but I do not see how.

  Okay, I meant Title Frame apparently. Sorry, I’m very new to all this. I’ve seen some amazing Opti sites with a larger Title banner and a custom image.

  The image I uploaded a few days ago seems to be working properly now. I guess it just needed some time to process.

  Perhaps I should contact the Opti support forum after all.

  Thanks but it’s not what I want. I want the image in the header to actually be the image for my title….can you help? I’ve seen it done with a few Opti sites and it looks awesome.

  Hi there – I’m not entirely sure what you’re describing. Can you link me to an example site that does this?

  There is an option to move your header image above the navigation (menu), if that’s what you mean. To do this, go to Appearance->Customize->Header here:

  Yes, thank you. It was the option to move the header above the navigation that I was looking to do. I had to delete the lettering from the title box to have it work right.

  Is it possible to make the image larger to fit the entire space from left to right?

  I will go to the link you mentioned above first to see if it will allow me to do this (wp-admin/themes.php etc.)

  Hi there – The header image is constrained by the main post column width, which is so that it will display correctly on different sized screens among other things. It’s possible to change the column widths using CSS, but you’d need the custom design upgrade:
