How can I align my layout titles in Illustatr theme?

I’ve been using the Illustratr theme to host a book review website but am struggling when book titles vary in length as this messes up the alignment for my site when viewed on a desktop/bigger screen.
You’ll be able to see that the title entry for ‘Olive’ is too short that it brings each of the posts beneath it up. Likewise, the title entry for ‘Everything I Know About Love’ is too long and it pushes each of the posts beneath it down, meaning that every row is out of alignment.
I would like to either reduce the text size for individual titles, or fix them into one position so the 3 reviews on each row are aligned in a grid view. Any ideas on how I can do this?

Hi there,
The way it appears on your site, is how the theme is designed to work. It’s not designed to show portfolio projects in a neat grid like you’re trying to achieve.
The only way to do what you want is via custom CSS code. You can then use that to specify a fixed height for each post thumbnail, that it will stick to regardless of the height of the actual content. But that will require our Premium Plan.
Unrelated, I just thought I’d point out that the portfolio feature might not be the best option for your kind of site. Portfolio porjects are not the same thing as blog posts, and followers on your site don’t receive any notification when you publish a new portfolio project, and they don’t appear in the WordPress.com Reader, as would happen when you publish a blog post.
I understand you’re doing this because you like how the portfolio page appears, but projects are really meant to be a collection of static content, like samples of an artist/illustrator’s work, and the feature isn’t designed for content that get updated regularly, like if you publish a weekly book review.
