How can I allow access control with a simple password?
-
I am an art teacher. I would like to be able to allow my students to use my wordpress.com blog to discuss class assignments, however, requiring them to sign up for a wordpress.com account is not practical. It is also not allowed to post discussion material on an open blog where there comments could be seen and responded to by anyone. The only way that I see to do this, other than through a wordpress.org site with a password plug-in, is if wp.com provided a plug-in that would require a password for open access to the blog. This way I could just give each class a password to their blog and change that password frequently. Would such an enhancement be possible? I think that it could probably have other uses due to increased flexibility.
