How can I assign a post to a menu item?

    In my menu bar, one of the menu items is “More.”

    I just added the post “Exercise Can Both Improve and Protect Your Health.” When someone clicks “More,” I would like that post to be visible to them.

    How can I effect that?

    I looked at the info on this page, but it was not obvious to me how to do it. I need more specifics. In particular, how can I designate my post as one for the More page.

    Hi there!

    If you want just this one post to be displayed under the item More, you will want to edit your menu, remove the current More item, click on Add items and, from the menu that will open up, you’ll want to click on Posts and then find and add the post in question.
    After that is done, you’ll notice that you can change the name of the item that will be displayed. Here is where you can replace your post title with the word More.

    If what you want is for various posts to appear under the item in question, you will want to add a Category, instead of a Page or Post:

    I changed More to a category. Can I then add subcategories to it?

    What I would like to have happen is that every post with the category label of either “Tai Chi” or “Qigong” be automatically listed under More.

    Can that be done?

    Can tagged items also be auto-listed under More?

    Yes, you can create sub menu items. They will need their own unique category that you can then link in the menu.

    When adding menu items to your menu from the Customizer, after you click Add Items look on the right for “Categories” and click there to see all categories you have created. Click on the category name to add it to your menu.
