How can I automate updates to WordPress websites?
-
Automate updates.
Let’s say I have 20+ websites made with WordPress, and I want them to be updated every day, even on days I am not on a computer.
Is there a widget/macro etc. that can do this? I can schedule it to post to all the websites and it will do that automatically?
Thanks.

Hi there,
The answer to your question is no. WordPress.com is not an aggregation platform. It’s a blogging platform for those who create original content. There are no automated splogging tools here. In fact, you had best read the types of blogs aren’t welcome at WordPress.com before you continue with your plan:Automated blogs: Blogs that are generated by computers, including randomly generated blogs, blogs that re-publish press releases, marketing material, search engine results, link dumps or any other mass-produced content. http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
Fact: Google frowns on duplicate content, and if you have multiple identical sites, your search ranking will suffer for it. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2013/03/22/seo-on-wordpress-com/

There are ways to do this with self-hosted WordPress installations, but as Timethief says, it is frowned on by the search engines and you will never gain from the duplicate postings what you will lose when the search engines whack you.
It is always best not to anger the g00g.
