How can I back up my blog including photos?

    Hello,
    I need to back up my blog including all files and photos, because I’m moving to a self hosted blog always with a wordpress CMS.
    Can you please help me? The export action doesn’t back up all files and photos, but just text.

    When you import the XML export file there will be a prompt asking if you want to include attachments and your media and image files are attachments so you say yes.

    When you export you create copies not originals. The originals stay exactly where they are. So after your import you make the wordpress.com blog private and that means it becomes a backup file. To change blog visibility to Private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings
