How can I cancel expiring domain?

Hi,
We have two domains assigned to our blog.
One primary domain and the old domain which is expiring in 2 days.
We don’t want the old domain anymore.
We received a popup message “uh, oh, your blog domain …. is expiring” stating that if we don’t renew or cancel the old domain, the new domain will also be deactivated.
How can we cancel the old domain and make the blog available on the new domain only?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The email we received states:
“To renew, cancel or otherwise manage your domain(s) and for further assistance, please go to the Store -> My Upgrades section of your WordPress.com dashboard. “
There is nothing in Store -> My Upgrades: “You don’t have any upgrades yet. Try one of our plans.”

so frustrated…my automatic payment messed up last month due to bank changing account number, also email had to be changed due to hacking issue and could not find where to change on here until yesterday. Now my blog frozen even though I added new domain name and paid for it to be primary. Can’t get to cancel old primary and continuously states expired. Want rid of expired domain. Sent two messages to support and no response. :/ I am not tech savvy and need guidance on this.

Since we haven’t received any response from Staff yet and the domain was about to expire, we renewed the expiring domain. Staff, can you please cancel the domain and give us a refund?

Only the WordPress.com account that owns the domain can renew or cancel it. Can you please have that person log in to WordPress.com and reply to this forum thread (or contact us directly) to request that cancellation and refund?
Please keep in mind that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future, so only cancel it if you’re sure you no longer want to use it at all.

rachelmcr- I have contacted your engineers for 2 days now and no responses. I have posted on this forum and …no responses. I want to request a cancellation of mywhispersinthewind.com I have added a new domain name but can not use it until this gets cancelled. PLEASE help me.
