How can I change my Url address?

    Hi,
    I really love working with wordpress. The only thing is that the url address or domain name is so long and no one can find me. I would like to know how I can change it, maybe its called a domain name. I have a much shorter one and do not mind paying to use it but would like step by step information on how to change it and use another one.

    If you want to remove .wordpress.com part of your site address then you can register a custom domain name.

    The custom domain name will take over as your site address, and visitors who have your WordPress.com address will be redirected to your new domain name.
