How can I change ownership of one of my two sites?
-
In hopes of getting my yacht club to adopt a wordpress website I first experimented with a personal one (https://colinstestbed.home.blog) using my personal email address. I then tried to start (quite independently) another site for the yacht club using a club-based email address. This site is https://queensclifflonsdaleyachtclub.wordpress.com
Despite my attempt to make the two sites independent, they are linked and any use of the “Contact” system delivers to my personal email, not the club one. I want the club site to be “owned” and edited by the club address which could move from person to person and between computers. How can this be achieved? I did send an “invitation” to the club address to be editor, but from that address the “accept” button gives a message that “Oops that invitation is not valid – you can not use an invitation that you have created for someone else. Trying to log in through the club address (which I thought I used from the beginning) gives message “User does not exist”. To persuade the club to use this system and upgrade it I need to understand how to achieve this transfer. I am totally new to these processes (and don’t even understand your request to “tag it with modlook”! Sorry. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If the yacht club already has a WordPress.com account, then you can follow these instructions to transfer the site to them:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
After that, you can ask them to add you as an Administrator or Editor to that site so you can help with managing it.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.
