How can I change that the newest post is on top?
-
Hi,
I would like to change the settings to make sure the last published post is on top of the rest of the posts, but I can’t find it!
Please help!
thank you in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All your posts are chronological order. So you don’t have to change anything.
The latest published post always appears at the top unless you changed the post date to a past date or if you have any sticky posts taking up the top slot.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions :)

I need my posts to run from top to bottom, so that the continuing story thread runs down the page, with each subsequent post appearing at the top of the homepage, how do I achieve this please?
-
Sorry, I meant that I want the last post to appear at the BOTTOM of the thread, so that the blog (which is an open-ended fiction project) can be read in a single scrolling run.
Apologies for the confusion.
Thanks. -
Ok, I’ve looked at the Sticky Posts option.
Is there a specific reason why I shouldn’t use this for every post (it says not to do so, but not why) and if I do, will all the posts run downward in chronological order the way I’d like them to? -
Oh thanks! I don’t know what I did different but I changed the dates and now it is in a chronological order! Great!
I have another question too: in my header I would like to add catagories or a dropdown menu (catagories are beauty, lifestyle, Health etc.)
Whatever I do, I cant manage it!Thanks in advance!

Too many sticky posts can cause some wonkiness with the site, since they’re not designed to have all sticky posts. This is why that support guide recommends against having all sticky posts.
Take a look at this support guide that offers some help on how to display posts in chronological order: https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/

That drop down menu is a Categories widget.
We can add widgets to header only if the theme supports. Not many themes support widgets in the header. Your theme, Sela, doesn’t support adding widgets to header, unfortunately.

Yes, I did eventually find this yesterday thanks. Not sure if I quite understand it all, or if I’ll be able to apply it to my blog on the mobile app, but I’ll look into it, thanks.
