How can I change the context/body text color in the Atrium theme?
-
I have the Atrium theme and I can’t seem to change the body text color. I can change the header and the hover over colors, but thats it. Is there something that I have to put into the CSS? I have no clue!!!
I’d like to just make all my font black. The grey default color that the font is in now, is so hard on the eyes.
Thanks!

Hey there, Julie!
Let’s make an adjustment to your CSS.
Click Appearance → Customize in your site’s Dashboard. Then, click CSS in your right-hand menu. In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following underneath all existing text:
.wf-active .site-content a, .wf-active div, .wf-active dl, .wf-active li, .wf-active p, .wf-active span, .wf-active table, .wf-active .widget_calendar tbody td {
color: black;
}.entry-body .content {
color: #000000;
overflow: hidden;
}Then Save your changes.
Let me know how that works for you. Thanks much!

hi robyn!
1) the css code didn’t work on all the context. it did change the edit link at the end of the body and also the publish date for the post. the main post context still remained the default picture.
2) i have another question. am i able to change the look of my follow button in the sidebar widgets menu/the submit button on my contact page.
thank you!

oh…..and….
3) i just published a new post and gave it a specific category of one that appears on the home menu…however, it appears that the post didn’t link up to the designated page. i.e..my post is categorized under “beauty,” however, when i click on the beauty page from my home menu bar…it doesn’t appear on that page. how can i fix this?

Hello again!

Don’t apologize, that’s awesome! So glad to hear it :)

You can make an adjustment to that button color using CSS
Click Appearance → Customize in your site’s Dashboard. Then, click CSS in your right-hand menu. In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following underneath all existing text:
.wf-active .btn, .wf-active button, .wf-active input[type=”button”], .wf-active input[type=”reset”], .wf-active input[type=”submit”] {
background: #9C8AA5;
}Then Save your changes.
I arbitrarily chose a dusty lilac color for the button, so you could see the change. You can change this hex color (#9C8AA5) with any color you’d like, here:
http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colorpicker.asp
-how do I get rid of my tags from my home page?
Follow the same instructions for locating your CSS Revisions box, and then enter the following:
.entry-tags {
margin-top: 0px;
visibility: hidden;
}Again, save those changes.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Hey!
So, you will use the same method — go to your Customizer, click CSS, and add the following below your existing code:
.site-branding.no-title-description .site-logo-link {
margin-top: 0;
margin-left: 350px;
}As always, Save those changes!
Let me know how this works out for you! Thanks again.

hi robyn…
it did work, but for some reason when i am on the mobile version, the title is lost. maybe, the title only works with the mobile version if its to the far left?
thanks!

Hi there,
I wanted to check in with you about this. I see you that you have your logo left-justified, which allows you to see the header properly on mobile.
You are correct that the CSS code is interfering with the mobile version of your site.
I have three suggestions for you:
- The first is to create a header that fills the size of the allotted space: 1500 x 660px. It can be a white banner, with the logo centered on it. You can do this with image editing software you have on your own computer, or you can utilize free editing software such as these:
http://www.picmonkey.com/
http://apps.pixlr.com/editor/ - You can contact our forum that is specific to CSS code adjustments. Perhaps the community there can assist with code that allows the header to be seen properly on mobile and desktop:
en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
- You can contact the theme’s developer directly to ask for their advice. You’re using a premium theme, which allows you to contact their support.
I hope one of these three ideas helps!
Wishing you the best.
