How can I change the e-mail format in which my e-mail followers receive my posts
-
Hi,
I have some e-mail followers. I was expecting them to receive perhaps just the first few lines of my post, with a link to then click through to my blog, but I see that they actually receive my entire post in the e-mail?
Is there a way to change this?
Also, I have seen that while on my blog the posts and in particular the pictures displays very nicely, in the e-mail format it does not. Some pictures displayed really tiny and other’s really large. Is there a way to control this?
Many thanks for your assistance! Really appreciate it!

You can change your site’s Reading Settings from “full” to “summary”. This will change what is sent out by email and what appears in the WordPressdotcom Reader and other RSS readers. It will not change how your blog posts appear on your site.
As far as how images are formatted in emails, I’m not sure why some are small and some are large. I’ve tagged this for Staff input.

Hi @workfoodhome, I haven’t seen that. Do you have a screenshot we could look at? You could upload it to your media library or to a service like cloudup.com .

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I have uploaded the images to my media libraby – one screenshot where the picture displays normally and then another where it displays really small. If you have an e-mail address I can forward the e-mail post to you as well, if it would help?
Many thanks!

Interesting. Our support system would probably strip a forwarded email, but if you wouldn’t mind enabling Email under sharing, I’ll try emailing the article to myself to see what I get there.
On the other hand, when you send just an excerpt of the post, this issue may go away, too. Let me know what you’d like to do.
