How can I change the font size when writing a post?
-
Hello! I am visually impaired as are most of my readers. Therefore, I would like to enlarge the font size without paying for the Custom Design. Since this is an accessibility thing, it seems WordPress should have some sort of easy accommodation for this. I am more than willing to change the font size while writing each post. A long time ago, I was given this option but it no longer appears to be there. Could you please tell me how to change it? I’ve seen other posts that have you copy this HTML code in but then it changes the font and I really don’t want to go add code to every post. Why can’t we just change the font size like we do in a Word document or email?

I’m visually challenged. We can increase or decrease font sizer on any site we visit as easy as pie see here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/19/how-to-change-font-text-size-in-your-browser/

Thank you but that’s not exactly what I’m going for. I want to enlarge the font for my readers and for myself. I don’t want them to have to use another piece of software or another website. I want it to just be like 14 or 16 size.

If you really want to change font size on your blog then read what follows please. There has never been an easy way to chnage fonts here at WordPress.com. You must be referring to Blogger.
These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
Note: A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments and links cannot be done without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/color-customisable-themes/

I don’t want them to have to use another piece of software or another website. I want it to just be like 14 or 16 size.
Holding down a crtl key or a cmd key and clicking a plus sign or a minus sign is not adding software at all. I takes less than a second to do.
