How can I change the URL of my blog?

  I wanted to create a blog with the URL whatistheloop.com, but instead the WordPress signup form forced me to choose whatistheloop.wordpress.com. I’m ready to pay the $26, but only if I can get the URL that I want. I tried to return to the beginning of the process and re-enter the correct URL, but that doesn’t work — I’m just being told “Please try again” every time. How can I change it back to the URL that I originally requested?

  To register a domain name go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

  to register you own domain name you will have to pay for it. hope this helps sorry this has happened to you.
