How can I change the visibility of my posts?

  I only want my welcome message to be visible on my homepage. Every ohter post pertains to one of the categories I have created and I would prefer my students to have to click on the category to view the post. Is this possible?

  Hi there,

  Yes, you can certainly set your site to only show the Welcome message on the home page.

  To do this, you will need to create a Welcome page, rather than a post, by going to your Dashboard > Pages > Add New. Once you’ve published this page, please follow the directions below to set it as your “front page”:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  If you have already included Categories on your posts, you can add each Category page to your site’s menu by following the directions available here:
